Stolen away

As the soap suds
Burn her eyes
She could hide her tears
Of disappointment
Same old same old
Shed been doing for years

Hiding her pain
Unhappy in this life
Shed been too young at 17
Becoming
His wife
Long gone her youth

Stolen away
He’d trapped her with his lies
Freedom could, be hers
One day
When her fledglings left home
She can relive, those
Lost years
In the freedom of her own
yet again i came across this old piece re edited it and vola here you go

I like the fragmented rhythm, and the words were strong enough to convey the meaning. Very nicely done.
